Judges
Let's get down to business. Here are the four people making the decisions - and you might just recognise some of them. If you want to get your hands on a content-managed, tailored website hand crafted by the team at Design Logix, these are the guys you have to impress. All four have had lots of success in their respective fields, and more importantly, they all command respect in local and regional communities, making them the perfect candidates to choose the most deserving winner of our competition.
Adam Catterall
Adam Catterall is the voice of Rock FM's Adam @ Breakfast show.
Adam attended St Bede's RC High School in Blackburn, and then St Mary's College, where an A Level in Media Studies fuelled his passion for broadcasting. After working in sales for a computer distribution company for two years, he began to take his 'DJing' seriously, and he soon had the pleasure of doing what he loves for people up and down the country at iconic events such as Gatecrasher, and alongside legends such as Mark Freejack and Big Baz Todd.
Adam arrived at Rock FM after winning a competition to become part of the thunder truck team, and after working on Dixie's Breakfast Show, he acquired his own slot on the overnight show. He was appointed as Rock FM's coveted Breakfast Show presenter in November 2006 after a successful stint on the evenings show, which he took to number one in the market place after just a year.
Adam has won a string of awards for his work on Rock FM, including Commercial Radio Presenter of the year at the Arqiva/RCS Commercial radio awards in June 2007, Best Breakfast Personality at the European Radio Awards in August 2007, The North West's Best Presenter of the Year at the BRA's in 2008, and Best Music/Personality gong at the New York Festival in June 2008, alongside numerous other nominations such as Music Radio Personality of the Year at the Sony Awards in May 2008.
Outside broadcasting, Adam has done a lot of work for his favourite charity, 'Cash for Kids'. He has also raised £20,000 for Wigan Hospital Playroom for children spending time in hospital over Christmas, £14,000 for children throughout Lancashire by running the London Marathon without training, and £20,000 for a local disabled sports team by living in a shop window for a week.
